Building a Budget system for Star Citizen a 720p. Will a GTX 970 work?

My nephew wants a system that will run Star Citizen but his mother is on a Very Tight Budget.

He is using an old 720p TV as a monitor but it's refresh is 60hz.
Will a Used GTX 970 be able to pull this off when paired with an i5 4570 that I have laying around???
Doesn't have to be any better than Med settings.

That shoud be just fine. It recommends a GTX 780, but since he is playing at 720p on medium, the 970 should be able to handle it just fine. It seems it may be a CPU intensive game since they are recommending a i5-4770K, but that i5 should still be fine.

Being that it is 720p, it should be able to run on high settings.

Your processor is weak so I think you'd be limited to Medium. But the game definitely will run so you should try it out yourself.
