Building a Computer for Lightroom and minimal Photoshop use.

Hey! So I am in the process of finding parts I need to build a low budget desktop to run Lightroom and so very minimal Photoshop and I would love for feedback on what to do. Here's what I've come up with:

-Intel Core i5-7500
-ASUS PRIME H270-PLUS
-Samsung 960 EVO Internal NVMe Solid State Drive, 250 GB
-Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD
-Corsair CX Series 500 Watt 80 Plus Bronze Certified Non-Modular Power Supply

I do not know what computer case to get. All I know is I want a lot of room to work with and plenty of quite ventilation. Besides that I am waiting to purchase a Graphics Card and would just love to know if my set up look ok and compatible! Your help is greatly appreciated!

I'm trying to stay in the $400-$600 range and so far I have found great deals on the motherboard ($250 for i5-7500 and the Asus motherboard) as well as the ssd ($128)

Also, I am thinking about purchasing the Sceptre E E248W-1920R 24" Ultra Thin LED Monitor. Its cheap and I do not plan on doing heavy duty work. Photo-editing is just a hobby for me. Do you think that monitor will work?

That is a pretty good deal. If you keep those two, that leaves you with 272 for a GPU, PSU, CASE, RAM and a HDD. That is pretty tight.

on your build if you have a local micro center then newer i5 cpu is 20.00 more (coffee lake) over the older i5. but is a 6 core cpu that better for muit tasking. all you need do is swap out the x200 chipset mb for a newer 300 chipset mb. micro center has 30.00 off combo deals.

No, you do not need a CPU cooler for the setup you have mentioned.

No, the 6core i5 is not compatible with that motherboard. You need a Z370 line.

No, you do not need a CPU cooler for the setup you have mentioned.

No, the 6core i5 is not compatible with that motherboard. You need a Z370 line.

No GPU needed?

I am waiting on the GPU because it is barely used in Lightroom if at all. In the future I will purchase a GPU. How expensive are the Z370 line motherboards? -Nevermind just looked. They are outside of my budget but I will keep it in mind for the future.

that is a pretty good price on the NVMe SSD - if they have a similiar good price on the 500 GB unit you might want to go for it - invariably i use one of my NVMe SSDs to "write" the video file i'm rendering or the image file i'm editing

and you might want to allow for installing that NVMe SSD in a PCIe adaptor card - installing it in the M.2 slot will invariably kill or dis-able one sata port
