I am looking to build a new gaming pc from scratch and was hoping to get some good info on some components that you may have used and had a great experience with or an entire build that you know of that would be good for what i am looking for.
I dont have much experience at this but i did spend a decent bit of time upgrading my old Pentium 4 desktop years ago.
I plan to use the computer solely for gaming, i play a lot of older games but as for new ones i play starcraft 2 and diablo 3 occasionally WOW.
So i'd want a build able to support those games with no problems..I am on a budget but it can be flexible.
I have is a USB mouse, keyboard and i have a monitor already.
Budget trying to keep it less than $400 if possible but can go up to $600 or so..
Any help would be much appreciated!

IF i upgraded my budget to 750/800 would i be able to play diablo 3 and starcraft 2 on max settings?
Also would i be better off hard wiring my pc or is a wireless adapter a good way to go?
I had actually picked that CPU but was torn on the motherboard. I know most of the budget will be spent on my video card and the OS doesnt need to be included in the budget either,
With those in mind what would you reccommend

As for Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2, yes if you upgraded your budget to that you will be able to max them.

Obviously hard wiring is better for gaming but if it's a problem then a wireless card won't do harm, but I will leave that out of the build for now because I suggest you hard wire it.

Okay without the OS and with a $800 budget, I suggest this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/36V4E

just a thought but i came up with this on my own, would this build work?
and if so it seems it would do all i need it to do. If i have missed something or it wont be up to par to run D3 on high please let me know why..
i am still learning as this is my first build and i want to do it right!

Yes it will work perfectly, the site "PCPartPicker.com" lists incompatibilities when they are present. There are none on what you made so yes it would work. But obviously the build I showed you is better.

i am not really looking to overclock my system nor will i need it to play anything more than Diablo 3. I am still looking and working with different builds to se what will work best for me on my budget. I am looking to spend enough money to get what i am looking for but not so much money that i feel like i am breaking my bank ..very poor college student haha..I definintely appreciate your insight and help though. Any more you'd have for me would be much appreciated!

Okay I've been working on this for a while now to help you find the best build for your budget (And of course because I love building PC's!).

For a $600 Budget: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/377cB - You will be able to play any game you ever want to play! If you ever decide you want to play BF4, this will run it for you on even medium to high settings! So it's a build you should definitely go for :)

And this $800 build..... Any game you want maxed: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/377J1

Also my roommate is interested in a build to play diablo 3 expansion and wow easily and quietly. No OS needed. He hopes to run them maxed out when playing them. A 600$ and 800$ build would be super helpful.
He is not very knowledgable on pcs so he will not be doing any over clocking or too much extra upgrading if any. So something that will run those games consistently for a long time to come is all he needs.
No rush but a build you would use would be helpful. You have been a huge help btw!

My build that I suggested will max any game as I mentioned above, diablo 3 and wow will easily be maxed and I chose amd because it will have better performance per dollar vs Intel. Overclock the Cpu I suggested and it will equal the performance of an i5-4770k!

Awesome, i really appreciate y our insight and all of your help!
