Hi im going to be using this thread to help me select pc parts and build my own gaming computer as so many people have recommended that i build my own. Please look out for my questions in the comments below thanks.

Solution
The issue right now is that the price of graphics cards are so high (due to bitcoin miners) that building all but a entry-low mid tier gaming PC is possible. It may right now only be possible to purchase a prebuilt for a reasonable price and since I'm in the US I don't know any UK builders sorry.

You can try and build one, I recommend using https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/ to shop for parts, it has a nice building tool and gathers prices form the more popular sites.

in about july

Im new but ive been doing my research and i know about pc parts but my worry is if i order the parts separately how do i know if all the parts will fit together and run together i.e. will the motherboard fit in the case and will the cpu/gpu fit on the motherboard.

ok thanks. Do you know the difference between companies selling the same parts mainly in the gpu area. For example gigabyte and msi both selling a GeForce 1080 is there a difference and if so where do i look to see the differences?

ok so they produce different models of the same gpu ?

on a different subject so you think a 75 hz monitor is ok with 32 inch and 2560x1440p or should i get 144 hz monitor with 27 inch screen? the 75 hz 32 inch monitor is the hp omen monitor. Which should i choose for gaming with a build which has i7 8700k and GeForce 1080
