I'm thinking to build gaming pc.

How much roughly i'm looking at?

Also what do you suggest to add or replace?

Also is GTX 980ti better than 1070 or 1080 in gaming?

I'm mainly playing The Witcher 3

- the PSU is waaaay over the tops. A 550-650w PSU will be more than enough
- don't get Corsair AF fans. If you wanna stay with Corsair it's the ML series, otherwise 140mm Phanteks or Noctua fans are the way to go
- WD black 1TB doesn't differ much from WD blue 1TB except for price

This build would be around 2000$ I guess.

1080 > 1070 = 980Ti in terms of gaming performance

How much more is Z270/7700K over the earlier models? $10-$20?

Agree on PSU....wayyyy more than needed, save that extra $300 for a better GPU....

Not sure how much your liquid cooling setup costs, but, compare it to Noctua NH-D15 carefully....the latter is whisper quiet, and trouble-free....

Now like everyone said, your PSU is WAY overkill for what you're doing. A 550w would be fine, 650w if you want a bit more headroom.

A comment on the suggestion of the NH-D15. It's a great cooler, it's also a royal pain in the ass to use. It's heavy, so you have to make sure you're careful whenever transporting it. It's huge so case selection is limited. It has a very limited RAM selection due to its fan configuration. Between the limitations on case and RAM, you have to be careful how you select your parts. That said, it is whisper quiet and I love mine, but if I was building today I'd consider something like a Cryorig H7 unless I was really intending on OCing the hell out of it.

A comment on the WD blue vs Black. The Blacks do have a better performance (marginal and you'd never tell the difference but technically existing), but the main reason for going with a Black is for its better warranty. Is it worth the $30 difference between it and the Blue? That depends on how paranoid you are. Either way make sure you have some form of backup in mind.

Now my own questions, why are you wanting to go with a last gen CPU?
Do you really intend on OCing your CPU or are you just going for cream of the crop options?
Are you only gaming on this or are you doing content creation as well?
Is there a reason you're going with a 900 series GPU instead of the current 1000 series?
You didn't include an OS in your build, do you have a copy you're transferring over to the new build? If so is it OEM or Retail? This will matter when it comes to activation purposes.
