Case look is subjective. If you like the NZXT 820 go with it. Remember it is a full tower case. Make sure you have enough space in your desk.

A good 750w power supply can run two 1080s easily. Still i suggest get EVGA G2 850w for decent headroom.

You will be able to buy watercooled GTX 1080, but in my opinion for a 180w card, water cooling will not give you better performance, just better aesthetics. You will be able to grab ASUS ROG Strix AURA GTX 1080 with aura lighting, super factory overclock for $640 or default clock for $620 . Check here and here. Will be available on June 4th.

Also you can pick up custom sleeved cable from cablemod for power supply. They look so good and are high quality. Sure they costs...

Get 2666 or 3000mhz ram.
Get a cheaper motherboard. Like gigabyte Z170 gaming 7.
You do not need a 850W power supply if you don't want to run multiple gpu. Get a 550W or 650W one. Like EVGA G2 550W or P2 550W.
Get Samsung 850 EVO ssd, not the pro and save some money.
Wait a week or two. You will be able to grab a GTX 1080 from other company like asus, msi with custom cooler(2 fans, 3fans) for about $600.
Get liquid cooler. A 2K dollar pc deserves a liquid cooler.

Sorry for not telling this late but I was gonna buy a sli for him later, so should his PSU wattage have to be bigger? He also prefers 8.1 over windows 10. He also likes the Phantom case series, so could we keep the phantom? Here, I have changed it a bit. Is there anything else I could change. (Note: If a different company makes a better 1080 before september, I'll buy it). The budget was 2200 dollars, should I get a full liquid cooling system... or? I'm not really a pro with water cooling but I'm willing to learn.
