So I'm building my first gaming PC and I've been picking out several parts. I need to know if there's any way to improve this setup without significantly raising the price. I'm going to use the disc drive and the PSU from my current PC as I bought them not too long ago (2-3 months), the PSU is a Seasonic M12 520 watt.

Processor:
[strike]AMD FX-8350
€ 149,72 | 200,46$[/strike]
Intel Core i5 4590

Graphic Card:
Asus R9270X-DC2T-4GD5
€ 189,80 | 254,13$

Memory:
Corsair Vengeance CMZ16GX3M2A1866C9
€ 145,05 | 194,21$

Motherboard:
[strike]Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H
€ 102,28 | 136,94 $[/strike]
Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H
€ 86,49 | 115,80$

Computer Case:
NZXT Phantom 410 Midi-Tower - Black/Orange
€ 91,06 | 121,92$

Hard Drive:
Seagate ST2000DM001 2TB

I'd prefer to change the Processor and Graphic card, but I'm not sure what one to pick. Any suggestions?

Do you plan to overclock the cpu? If so get an i5 4690k. If not you can change the motherboard to a H97 motherboard.
8GB rma is enough for gaming.
The ASUS R9 270X is a good choice. With any higher end gpu i would consider replacing your psu.
Power supply choice is good.
Rest of the build looks fine.

I do not plan to overclock, no. Would a AMD GPU with a Intel CPU cause any problems?
Also looking at this XFX Radeon HD 7950 Double Dissipation Edition, which I can get for 180 euro (241 dollar), is that any good (compared to the Asus R9 270X)?

An AMD or Nvidia gpu should work with either an Intel cpu or an AMD cpu.
The 7950 is a step better than the R9 270X. But make sure the card hasn't been heavily used for mining as it reduce the lifespan of the card.
Warranty is not guaranteed with getting a used gpu. The R9 270X does however incase something goes wrong.

The thing is, it's not a used one, it's a brand new one. So should I settle for that card or do you have any other suggestions for me to look at?

http://www.pcinhuis.nl/XFX-HD7950-Double-Dissipation-(FX-795A-TDFC) It's in Dutch, though, but probably still understandable.

I've ended up spending more money and going for a Asus GeForce GTX 770 2GB DirectCU II OC, which costs €286,84 (384,20$). Seems like I'm ready to purchase everything.
