Why get aftermarket cooler and Z97 if not overclocking? If you're going to spend the extra on those 2 you might as well spend the extra $20 and get the 4690k over the non K

I get 60-70 fps on GTA V with my 4690k+GTX 970

i know but thats not the reason for it not achieving 60fps ultra, its just because the games demanding, no gpu apart from the 980 upwards will get 60fps ultra unless of course you have an sli rig and im not even sure if the 980 gets 60fps.

I agree with Arronleeds I think you going to need a 980 to run close to your expectations. NO OC may hurt FPS but the PSU might hurt more than any thing else. The processor MB and ram are ok only 500w fault I see is the 500w power supply that going to be a problem. Power boxes can draw more WATT s from wall than rated at so your system should turn on. but this gaming build is set up to be a ok. I don’t think that the configuration is good enough to build to specifically play GTA 5. This because GTA 5 next to BF4 is Extremely taxing on PC.

a 980 even struggles to run GTA 5 at ultra settings in most areas, its because it eats vram like no tomorrow, you dont have to have it perfectly ultra, ive fiddled with the msaa and theres the slightest difference between 2x and 8x, the game looks incredible even at high. if i was you id honestly buy an r9 295x2, its around 500 quid in the uk and is cheaper than quite a lot of gtx 980s and will run gta 5 at 1080p ultra with ease.

I wouldn't get a 295x2 to play GTA V, GTA V has issues with crossfire and often performs better on a single card.
