Hey guys,I am trying to build a gaming PC and I don't have much knowledge about the hardware (or software for that matter).I have shortlisted the components and would like to know if I have made right selections.I WON'T BE OVERCLOCKING so please suggest me components which are good enough in stock form and I wan't to build my PC around the AMD FX 8350 processor. Will my selected processor, motherboard or GPU bottleneck each other :??: ? Please help.

AMD FX 8350 Processor
MSI 990FXA-GD65 V2 Motherboard
Asus NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 TI OC 2 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8 GB (1 x 8 GB)
Coolermaster GX 550W PSU

You don't need to spend over $100 on a motherboard for that kind of build. You would be better served by a better GPU and a more reliable PSU. Also, I would add an aftermarket heatsink/fan assembly to the FX-8350, the stock cooler is poor. Here is my suggested build:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor ($129.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus 76.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($19.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($49.00 @ Newegg)
Memory: Patriot Viper 3 Low Profile Blue 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($67.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Asus Radeon R9 270X 2GB DirectCU II Video Card ($139.80 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair Professional 650W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $466.76
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Very good build.
I prefer INTEL CPU's but for the budget this is likely the best choice.

Please note there are THREE FREE GAMES to redeem for the R9-270X as well. That Asus was my top choice for value.

Also, you'll want Windows 8.1 64-bit OEM (about $90. use pcpartpicker ) and I suggest Start8.

Yes, that motherboard can support the FX-8350 CPU. However, you must have BIOS version 1401 or greater:
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A88M/HelpDesk_CPU/

Direct download of BIOS:
http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM3+/M5A88-M/M5A88-M-ASUS-1702.zip

Which means that you need the BIOS updated before the FX-8350 will be usable. So if you have another processor currently, be sure to update the BIOS before installing the FX-8350 or it will not be detected by the mobo and you won't be able to boot.
