I just realised I haven't logged in for 5+ years, I was building my first budget PC then. (I still have it and it's time to upgrade)

I'm not sure If I should wait for Ryzen but I've waited long enough!

Purpose of build: Gaming(1440p, 4K), hopefully streaming and editing.
(budget is >2000euros or at least I'm trying to keep it there)

Here it goes:

CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K (Planning on overclocking)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H105 73.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z270X-Gaming 5
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 8GB G1
Case: NZXT H440 ATX Mid Tower
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold

What I'm missing: SSD

I have a mechanical HDD and I want a 480-500 GB SSD. I don't know if I should go with samsung or try SanDisk, toshiba etc. Never had an ssd so I have no clue what to to expect!

Things I still consider: Getting faster RAM, other case(?), maybe go for another partner instead of Gigabyte 1080, another cpu cooler(?)

Looking for all the help and recommendations I can get. Thanks in advance!

Budget is under 2000 euros(PC only), or around the price tag.

I have a 700 euros budget for monitor, which I'll get a month after I build the PC. So I'll survive with 1080 until then!
I will migrate the OS(windows 7) till I buy windows 10 so I don't include it in my PC budget.
Mouse and keyboard I have but I'll upgrade to colorful ones later :p

The parts you selected are great but I'd opt for the G2 over the NEX. Yes, a ssd is a must too. Samsung 850 evo is a great 500gb version.

The RAM is fast enough, the G1 is great. How about the NZXT X62 or x61?

NEX availability seems limited, is corsair worth it for PSUs?
Honestly I forgot about the krakens, I'll check them out for sure.

Alternate.at doesn't seem to have variety of products, I mainly look at mindfactory.de because they seem to have the best prices along with Amazon.de

Thanks for taking the effort to help

Get this, assuming you want to keep the same look as the H440.
The S340 Elite is a smaller version with a tempered glass window and some updated features like good VR integration etc.

Get one of these monitors later down the line or PM me for updated prices when the time comes, i've listed a 24" and 27" option.
I prefer 27" myself as i've used a 27" monitor for years and adjusted, but it's a personal choice. The 24" is far better value though, and has a higher pixel density. Also much better for keeping track of everything on screen if you don't have the desk space to put it far back.

You absolutely need a good mechanical keyboard and ergonomic mouse, when you're buying those look for the Corsair K70 line with Cherry MX Blue, Red or Speed switches and the Razer Deathadder Elite.
