Building a Gaming PC

I have around $1,000! I would like to play most games at around 720p and be able to stream games as well. I have a youtube account and my old computer isn't able to play any new games. As of right now I only have a CD Drive and a copy of Windows 7. Thanks for any input or help!

How much Ram should I invest in?

I have a 3TB external and a 1.5TB so I should be fine with that so I just want something cheap inside of the computer that would just hold games. I already have a monitor and it is a 1080p 32 inch.

Hi. Given your budget I suggest a balanced approach and save money for maybe an SSD.

CPU: Intel i5-3330 (or Intel i5-3570K if you plan on overclocking)
MOBO: ASRock Z77 Extreme4
GPU: AMD HD 7850 1GB (go with something better if you plan on gaming at 1080p)
Case: Anything that suits your taste and can house an ATX motherboard (Corsair, Fractal Design, NZXT)
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1866 (you can always add more later on)

I suggest buying a decent CPU cooler like a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus or Evo for the processor. Most importantly make sure you have a quality PSU to power the system at the appropriate wattage.
