I am building my first gaming rig. I want the best bang for my buck, as it where. I have a budget of around $900. Currently, I have the following components in mind:

The Build
CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor ($129.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($99.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Corsair XMS3 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($73.95 @ Amazon) x 4
Video Card: ?
Case: NZXT Guardian 921 RB ATX Mid Tower Case ($75.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair Gaming 800W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($119.99 @ Newegg)
Monitor: Acer S201HLbd 60Hz 20.0" Monitor
Monitor: Acer G196HQLb 60Hz 18.5" Monitor

I already own the monitors from folks getting rid of their old desktops. I would like to know the following:

Will a gaming rig ever fully utilize an octa-core processor?
Do I really need 32 gb RAM, or can I drop that down a bit and focus funding elsewhere?
What is a decent budget video card?

Any and all advice is welcome

EDIT

Taking into consideration the conversations below, I have updated my potential rig. I added a GPU and lowered the overall RAM. I also noticed I had the wrong CPU that I had selected.
New Build

CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($99.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill AEGIS 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($134.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card ($267.27 @ TigerDirect)
Case: Apevia X-SNIPER2-GN ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.59 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair Gaming 800W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($119.99 @ Newegg)
Monitor: Acer S201HLbd 60Hz 20.0" Monitor ($0.00)
Monitor: Acer G196HQLb 60Hz 18.5" Monitor ($0.00)
Total: $871.82

a quick response to memory selected and question(s):

Whenever possible, buy your memory in kits, this insures you get matching sticks that will work together. Your motherboard supports dual channel memory, so either buy a kit of 2 (or 4) sticks/modules to utilize this ability. You do NOT need 32 GB RAM! That is some serious overkill! You will do good with an 8 GB kit (I recommend two x 4GB sticks/modules rather than four x 2 GB rather than one x 8 GB). At most I would only go as high as 16 GB (2 x * GB kit) but only if you do memory intensive programs (such as video editing or some business applications).

For a decent gaming rig, most of your budget will go for the CPU and GPU. Will you need a keyboard, mouse, speakers, etc.?

Thanks for the input on the RAM. I was thinking that was major overkill, but I wasn't sure. Thanks for the advice on the kits as well.

As for peripherals, I have those already. I was gaming on a stock PC but I had upgraded the peripherals. The box just got old and eventually started to die on me. I decided rather than piecing it back together, I would start fresh.

Sorry, wasn't specific. My hardware budget is $900 ( a little more is fine, but I want to keep as close as possible or lower). My OS will come out of my software budget (read: games budget). If I have extra from the hardware, that will be reallocated over to the software. And yes, I would be including a GPU.
