Approximate Purchase Date: This Summer

Budget Range: €500-€1000 after everything (needs to be as low as possible cause I need as much money as possible left over for my student dorm)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming and Streaming of the gaming (I already have a USB 3.0 capture card, but I want to expand to PC games, even if not to the newest PC games)

Are you buying a monitor: Not yet (It's going to depend on the money I have left when I'm done with the PC, might even buy a used one)

Parts I have and I don't know whether I can use them: a 420W PSU from my older build (was the newest part in my old PC that I haven't used in 7 years), 2 optical drives from that PC and probably some HDDs (that I don't plan on using because they're really small)

Do you need to buy OS: No. I have a students license of Windows that I can still use.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: I don't have any, sadly.

Location: Slovenia, but can order parts from Austria or Germany without a problem.

Parts Preferences: Intel and Nvidia when it comes to CPU and GPU, because I had terrible experiences with AMD GPUs and I have trouble trusting them.

Overclocking: If really needed

SLI or Crossfire: Probably not in my price range

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 if possible

Additional Comments: I need a wireless card / adapter, because I'm nowhere near my router.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My laptop is being pushed to its limits while I'm streaming and I don't want to overdo it and wreck it (like I somehow did with my previous one), since I also use it for work. I posted a similar question 3 years ago, when my previous Laptop broke, but then I had some money issues, while still managing to get a laptop so I can work on it and surprisingly stream with it.

Thank you everyone in advance.

i would recommend the i7 7700(not the k version) for optimal performance in the most demanding games. but if u r conscious abt the cost go for i5 7500. also as u can see, the price diff between the rx480 n gtx 1060 is almost 50 bucks which is not worth it. but thats my opinion. ur choice may differ.

Is there a way to get a similar combo with intel/Nvidia parts? I have problems trusting AMD...

Thank you again for everything. I will keep an eye out for Ryzen reviews and tests once it gets released and I'll probably decide based on that.

Intel you are going to be looking at an i7, which is going to cost your more. If I were going to build a gaming/streaming rig, I would be going with Ryzen. You would be looking at at least a 5820k/6800k, to be able to stream the vast majority of games. A friend of mine struggled with his E3 1231v3, (i7 4770 without IGP) on some games. I remember him trying to stream The Division and it didn't go very well. He has a USB El Gato device. RX 480 is a better buy than a GTX 1060. Recent drivers have made it competitive, and in some cases faster, than a GTX 1060, while costing a fair amount less. Also you are going to want a separate drive that your recordings go to, vs the one you are playing on, also.
