building a gaming tower

hi guys , i'm new to building a computer tower,it's for my grandson and i have already found a mid size case for it. i am trying to find a good but reasonable motherboard that supports 1155 socket and has plenty of pci e slots . with at least one of the pci e slots large enough for a very large video card. the case supports atx and mini atx boards. any help would be great, thanks

Do you have a budget? The only 1155 z77 I see on Newegg still is the AsRock Extreme4

yea i don't want to spend more than 100.00 to 150.00 if i can. i have been looking on both ebay and newegg.

yes thats a pretty good motherboard. it has a LGA 1151 socket and supports intel's unlocked skylake CPUs just keep in mind that you will need a new cpu and ram as this motherboard supports only DDR4 ram.

yea i know that i am building from scratch , so i am looking at everything before i start buying anything . and asking all the questions i can .
