I need help, i want a desktop computer that does not go over 1500$
the problem is: it needs to have a titan x or something that can give similar performance to that
please note that i already have: monitor, mouse, keyboard, 3 hard drives and 2 optical drives
i have been saving money for 8 years (don't ask about my age)
it would also be nice for it to be upgradable (extra ram slots or hard drives, perhaps video card)

the pc i'm using right now is trash, and i don't think it can survive for more than 3 years
any help would be appreciated.

$1500 gets a lot these days. here is a 980 ti (almost as good as a titan x) with all the bells and whistles for below your budget.

can easily change the case to whatever you like with the leftover budget but any more than this would be serious overkill (for a system that is already overkill) and spending just to spend. the power supply is enough to run a second 980 ti later on if oyu wish to do so. this is why it has so much power. can save some cash if you don't want to and drop it down to a more moderate level for a single card.

980 TI = Titan X

I added an SSD because stuff installed on the SSD (Including OS) will boot up and load a LOT faster than a regular hard drive.

You CAN downgrade to an i5 6600K but it's up to you. It will save you 100 dollars.

Also, you can add another video card later on.

best one, i had to modify some stuff though:
- I dislike water cooling, changed it to noctua NH-DH14
- you missed the sound card
- you missed the thermal compound
- you missed the wired/wireless network adapter
the end result was 1478.88

you don't need a sound card as the mobo has it built in and it is plenty good enough for anything but commercial music creation.

thermal compound comes with the cooler so the extra tube is simply in case you need more in the future.

and the wireless card i did not include cause i did not know it was needed :)

but overall, it is still a solid build you will enjoy for a long time to come.
