Hi.
I'm waiting for the gtx 980 ti that will be released in febuary. So my build wont be done before that.
But i want to start build my pc now and order the parts i can. But before i do so I want to be sure theres nothing new high end comming up soon.
As far as i can tell there will be no new cpu that can compete with i7-5930K.
And haven't found any upcomming motherboards either.

If not Im going with
i7-5930K
X99 Asus Deluxe
Dominator 16gb 2600 hz Platinum.
Obsidian 900D case.

Solution
aleksanderdev - with the coming of 980Ti, nvidias prices will drop for sure, and CPU-wise and motherboard-wise, well, God knows. Most likely not, and if, only marginally.
You could get the computer now, and buy some cheaper GTX 970 - and sell her when the 980 Ti comes, or some temporary graphics card around 50-100$, if You don't need that computer right now, I'd wait. Both motherboard and processor will be cheaper, at least for a few dollars/euros.

Yeah new processors are typically released in April - May and I don't see anything new that Intel has coming down the pike for some time. New GPUs are usually released around August - September for NVIDIA and June - July for AMD.

Wait! There is no point in getting the parts now if your waiting on a graphics card. You might as well wait and save a little bit of money. And if you settle for a lesser card you will always be cursing yourself for not waiting for the 980 ti

No that's not true at all, you can run off the onboard graphics until you get your GPU. I wouldn't advise playing games on it, but you can certainly wait for the GPU and buy everything else now.

Now that cyber monday has passed he is better off waiting for post christmas sales.

Tbh, I'm totally ashamed for my prediction. War in Ukraine and all the stuff around has moved prices to hell and as of January/February 2015, prices and availability of all products are horrible, at least in Europe. In US it should be a bliss thx to the war policy [no offense here guys, I mean it, it's fault of gov, not You people].

Also GTX 980 Ti is coming out when? They moved her to 2016, and that's horrible :\ Pirate islands should arrive "soon" and push down the prices of existing nvidia graphics cards, but still, everything has gone to hell lately. Skylake is delayed, 980 Ti is delayed, AMD R9 39x is a massive question and a puzzle, because if R9 390X fails to overcome GTX 980 by a "lot" [that means 10-15% at least], there's not gonna be any price cutting at all and we're gonna wait till kingdom come for price drops...
