APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Within 3 days.

BUDGET: A maximum of 1100$ USD. The 1100$ is what the selected parts would cost here in Denmark, as I have no desire to order from overseas, even if it is cheaper.

SYSTEM USAGE: Gaming, 3d rendering, Photoshop.

OVERCLOCKING: I'm too inexperienced with things like this, so I dare not touch it.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Noise is of no concern since I have some rather beefy headphones, drowns out almost any background noise.

--------------------

I have looked at these parts for my new PC, looks OK at first glance, but I am not really that experienced with newer hardware.

[CPU]

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz 4MB L2 Cache LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor.

[MOTHERBOARD]

Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L.

[RAM]

Corsair Dominator TWIN2X PC8500 4GB DDR2

[POWERSUPPLY]

Corsair 650TX 650W PSU. It is included in a combo deal with a case, I need one since the old one I have is beginning to rust(no joke).

[GRAPHICS]

XFX GeForce GTX 260, 896MB PhysX CUDA, 216 core version. Strangely enough, it is 50$ cheaper where I am.

[HARDDRIVE]

Western Digital Caviar® Black 500GB, eSata 3 Gb/s, 32MB Cache, 7200RPM

--------------------

That about sums up the parts I have thought about ordering.

What I am most concerned about is the RAM and Motherboard. A lot of people seem to have RAM/Motherboard related compatability issues and I would really, really like to avoid that, since I cannot afford a second try.

Should be noted that the last time I ever bought and assembled a new computer was back when a geforce 6600 was the bomb, so it has been a long while.

Holy speedreply batman.

A core i7 is actually outside my budget, since I am not ordering it overseas.

I know it seems silly, but since I live maybe 30 miles from where I'm ordering parts, it's a bit easier to go there and voice my complaints if something doesn't work, heh.

Any thoughts about the RAM and Motherboard? That's where most of my concerns are.
