Building a new computer.

Solution
First off, the i7 isn't needed for gaming. These are typically only used for heavy video rendering and 3d modeling. You could also save $100 on each gtx 680 by getting the gtx 670 instead. The gtx 670 and 680 are very similar in performance; very minute differences.

The mobo is extremely overkill. You can get the same performance and features for much less. The ASrock z77 extreme4 or it's gigabyte equivalent will suit all your needs. They are excellent products sold by reputable companies. The asus maximus boards are given those "cool" names to serve as a marketing technique so that they may sell those mobos for more money.

You're more than welcome to add 16gb or more of RAM; however, I will say that it isn't...
( Sorry about not doing the template at first. Just got off work so brain not up to speed... )

Approximate Purchase Date: Beginning of September.

Budget Range: $2000 at the most

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming such as diablo 3, BF3 and Minecraft. / Also making music.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com

Country: Canada

Parts Preferences: Would prefer to stay with Intel but wouldn't mind looking at options. Want to stick to Nvidia for graphics card.

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: Yes ( Want the option but don't require 2 cards right off the bat )

Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1200 x2 ( Would like to upgrade this later on )

Additional Comments: Would prefer not to have to have a system that required liquid cooling to overclock but again I will look at all the options. Also would like 16 gigs of RAM with the option to expand.

I included two gtx 670s simply because your budget could handle it. You're more than welcome to wait on the second gtx 670 until you absolutely need it. I would also like to add that it wouldn't be a good idea to play FPS games such as BF3 on a multi-monitor setup. You typically run into situations where you believe you're getting headshots...when in reality, you're actually missing the guy completely. If you're not very competitive and you only play for fun, then I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Hope this helps; good luck!

Solution
Thank you for all the information! Quick questions though I will probably go with your suggested build. I have heard that a full tower is better then a mid tower for air flow to keep things cool. And also I want the multi-monitor mostly since I multi-task a lot when I am playing games such as minecraft and SWTOR and just for general surfing. The multi-monitor set up won't mess with BF3 as long as I only play on 1 monitor right?

Depends on the case. Not always is a full tower better than a mid tower. Research some cases yourself. Keep in mind this is your build. You're gonna want to get something that you find appealing. Just make sure it has high air flow and possibly some rubber grommets on the inside for cable management.

Yup, one monitor would be good enough for BF3. If you do run a triple monitor setup in the future, you could still try it out. Some people have very different experiences with it.
