Hello,

This is will be my first time building a gaming pc with my own hands and was just wondering if these parts that I have listed are compatible with each other. I have done some research but I just want to make sure by asking experts on here. Especially the Ram and Power Supply as I am not too familiar with how to choose these two items. Feel free to comment on it, whether you think some parts can be changed or not for better performance etc. I am building this for Gaming (mainly Shooters), graphic design, video editing and sound editing. And will my Motherboard be good enough for giving me positional sounds in First Person Shooter games?

Cheers

All your parts are compatible, and will suit your needs.
And if I can make some suggestions for better quality/performance parts:
- switch the SSD to a Samsung 840 EVO or a Crucial MX100
- Switch the CPU cooler to a Noctua NH-D14 (since you have an overclocking mobo and CPU, why not benefit from it - this cooler will allow for higher overclocks)
- swap the GPU to a Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming - better performance. Read this for more info: http://www.overclock.net/t/1516121/gtx-970-comparison-strix-vs-msi-gaming-vs-gigabyte-g1

The PSU is Tier 2, so it`s a good one: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html

For the SSD, do you mean this one? Samsung 120GB SSD 840 EVO SATA III 6Gbs 7mm 2.5inch 540MB/410MB

As for the cpu cooler, I have no plans to overclock anything as of yet since I haven't learnt how to. Should I still go for the Noctua or is the 212x ok for a stock CPU?
