[SOLVED] Building a new PC and using my current SSD

My current SSD has windows and pretty much everything else in the same partition, I've heard that i have to reinstall Windows because mine contains drivers for the old motherboard.

Is there any way for me to just get rid of Windows and all the drivers or do i have to reformat the whole drive?

And if that's the only option, if I were to clone my SSD to another drive, could I later (after having a fresh install on it) just put all that stuff back on my SSD even though it would include the old motherboard drivers and such?

New PC = full reinstall.
There is no magic workaround.

Cloning is no different than moving the physical drive.


Now....just slapping that drive in might work. Or it might fail completely.
Best Practice ALWAYS speaks to a full wipe and reinstall.
Especially if the old and new pats are significantly different.,
