Guys I have a Intel pentium dual core e6600 and 6 gigs of ram and a nec motherboard and nvidia geforce gt 220.I am planning to upgrade my pc to i3 2120 or a pentium g4560 and both are good and I need a gaming pc to run games like far cry 4 an just cause 3 so I just wanna ask if my motherboard or the other pc hardwares will support the new processor.Secondly I wanna ask if I should buy the i3 2120 or the pentium g4560 and which is better in gaming performance and I am on a tight budget and so I can't upgrade anything now and would have to manage with my current hardware.

I also wanna upgrade my graphics from gt 220 to gt 730 2gb gddr5 so will my motherboard or other hardware will support it.

They really don't run stuff well, that might sound alright on paper but under 30 fps is unplayable.
Save up, I'm not going to recommend any of those, waste of money, don't force yourself to buy right now.
Definitely get the g4560 (with a new MB) instead of the i3. I would try to get the GTX1050 or rx460/560 if you can afford it as the performance you will get from the gt730 will be very poor. If you cannot afford either of those cards I would advise trying to purchase a used GPU. Something like a GTX760.

At the end of the day you can keep your system as it is and only upgrade the GPU. That should give you a very nice performance upgrade without breaking the bank.

No you will need a new motherboard as well. Is your ram ddr2 or ddr3? You would also need ddr4 if you go with the g4560. And for the gpu I would hold off until the gtx 1030 comes out which is very soon because it will be better than the 730 and similarly priced.

You realise you'll need an LGA 1151 motherboard and DDR4 memory if you're getting a G4560?

Also that you'll need a FCLGA1155 compatible motherboard for the very out-dated i3-2120?

Lol isn't that just OP himself who posted that.

The g4560 will work ok. you understand though that you will have to get a new motherboard and at least 8 gb of ddr4 memory. I would not to touch that i3 2120. second generation is just too old. As far as the video card goes you need to get a gtx card. You can get a decent 770gtx on the cheap at ebay i am sure. Though I don't recommend buying used.

You understand though that the games you want to play will struggle on this setup. you will be playing these games with low framerates on low settings. This wil be mostly due to the cpu. While the gpu is not ideal the gtx 770 was a decent gpu.

Ug I type so slow i started this a half hour ago.

Haaaaa this is awkward now. ;.;

Not really, with an RX 470 4GB you'll be at 60 fps @ high settings in most games 😛. Typically with a few really CPU intensive game exceptions.

Haaaaa this is awkward now. ;.;

xD

Lol. Now I'm confused. Where did the rx 470 come in the picture. @Chugalug_: Maybe awkward but good advice. lol

Well I have a nec motherboard(dont know if the model number or product type just when I start my p pc it shows nec) and I previously had a avertek motherboard but ha it change to nec as a avertek motherboard was not supporting the gt 220 at that time so now I wanna know if my nec motherboard which supports the gt 220 will it also support the gt 730 2gb gddr5 if ii buy it and my full system configuration is-
Intel pentium dual core e6600,6 gigs of gddr3 ram and nec motherboard and I also wanna change my processor to g4560 or g4400 and I I doesn't support then a to join good dual or quad cor under 100$ would also be cool

So my nec motherboard supports t gt 220 which I gddr3 I guess or maybe no I don't know so I ju wanna ask will my motherboard support g4560 or g4400 and a new graphics card which would probably b the the 730 2gb gddr5 if my pc doesn't support gddr5 will it support gddr3???

OK, your motherboard does NOT support any of the newer CPU's like the g4560 or g4400. You will need a new motherboard to support those CPU's which means you will also need new memory.

The gt730 will work in your current PC but I would strongly advise against getting it. The performance is very poor. Performance/$$ is also poor.

A gtx1050/rx460 or a used gtx760/770 or R9 280/R9 380 would be much better. Put that in your PC for now and then you can upgrade to a new CPU/motherboard/RAM later when you have the money. With a budget of $150 you cannot build a new PC.

Guys just saw the radeon r7 250x and thought it to be pretty cool and it is priced around 64$ should I buy it and my my current hardware support it and wouldn't bottleneck it I guess
