have not owned a gaming PC in years and I'm trying to build one. I want a middle of the road PC that will play AAA at atleast high graphics. Will this do?

Hear are my spec:
MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition ATX w/ GIGABit LAN, 2 PCIe x16, 3 PCIe x1, 1x M.2, 6x SATA 6GB/s

CPU:Intel® Core™ i5-4690K 3.5 GHz 6MB Intel Smart Cache LGA1150

MEMORY:8GB (4GBx2) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory

Superclocked NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB GDDR5 PCIe 3.0 x16

HDD:128GB SanDisk SSD + 1TB SATA III Hard Drive Combo

Solution
Unless you will be gaming at less than 1080p I would go for a GTX 970 minimum but drop the CPU to a 4460 and H97 motherboard to save a little. This combo will out perform your build by a lot

That's a good build well under your budget, you actually don't need the cooler as the stock cooler is fine just a little noisy. With the extra budget get yourself a 250gb SSD and you will have a great build

Well if your budget is $1000 then you can JUST about afford a GTX980 build, with an SSD:

If this is too far over your budget then don't get the SSD and buy one later.
