these link to the processor, motherboard, ram, case, and graphics card respectively. i was wondering if these parts all match correctly because i have checked with all the specifications and just wanted to be safe before i actually purchased them. and i was also wondering which gaming hard drive and power supply i should buy. if anyone could help that would be amazing =]

Thanks

good suggestions but the motherboard i want to get has a DDR3 1600 memory standard as stated in the specs. thats the only reason why i had to bump up the ram to that. The layout of the motherboard is good as well because all the connections to the physical drives and optical drives are on the side closest to the drives to begin with. i still need a suggestion for a hard drive and also wanted to know if these parts would work correctly together even though ive already checked and reviewed each part to see if its compatible with one another.

Really there is almost no performance benefit for using DDR3 vs DDR2...its a waste of money IMO. You can afford a better GPU if you get that instead. Speaking of which, don't buy that GTX 260, its hotter and uses more power than current ones out. On top of that you are using an Nvidia GPU on an xfire motherboard, you won't be able to SLI later. Go with a cheaper mobo or chose a different graphic card. If you wan to use a GTX 260, then get this one:

if you want to xfire later, get this GPU:

how much are u willing to spend on the HDD, I would just get maybe a WD Black 1tb or maybe two WD Black 640 in raid 0. if u have more money to spend you could shell out for the raptor drives but remember ur only going to see a difference in load times and synthetic scores. once you acctualy start playing your not going to see a difference so it might not be worth it for you. I just recently went from an older HDD to a new WD 1tb and found it loaded games just fine and other big programs like CS3 open up instantly so unless u have the extra cash I would worry about it too much.
