Hi,

I am a first time builder & making a desktop for my self, but all the PSU websites have me confused if i need the 450w Bronze or 550w Bronze.

PC Specs will be:

ANT ICE 400-tg with 4 rgb fans

I3-9100f (plan to upgrade to i5 next year)

AMD Radeon rx570

2 x 8gb ddr4

256gb m.2 SATA

1TB 7.2k RPM HDD

couple of usb devices here n there

Quick advice would be highly appreciated as all the parts are arriving tomorrow.

How about this one? It has 5 years warranty. Is it enough for my system with an upgrade path to i5/i7 in a year or more

Corsair CP-9020120-NA CX450 450W Power Supply https://www.amazon.in/dp/B01MTZ96RU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_yBinDbMA56SC6

Yes that one is leaps and bounds better than the Circle one.

As I said earlier Corsair CX series (not old models with green label) are good budget PSUs.

That would be enough for your system because it's a real 450W unit. If you plan to upgrade you can get a 550W unit as I suggested above. Price difference look like to be around $6-7 with the 450W one.

Hi, the links do take me to the actual PSU and that was my initial intention as well. The make is CIRCLE and the models are 450w 80 plus bronze and 550w 80 plus bronze.

Is this it here? It doesn't seem like a quality unit and wasn't able to find reputable reviews on it.

No documentation on the website only one link to a certificate PDF which didn't open. It doesn't even say what the current on the 12V rail is so it might not even be a real 450W. Additional info tab on the website has one item and that is the PSU's weight.

One of the items under description reads "High reliable 1050C Japanese Brand Capacitors". 1050 degrees Celsius! A PSU with typos on it's website does bode well as long as quality is concerned.

It has a 3-year warranty which in PSU world is very short and means the manufacturer does not have faith in its products. Avoid this PSU as it looks like junk.

Also 80+ Bronze is a badge of efficiency and does not mean the PSU is good-quality with good components and can do what it says and will last.

Get a good quality 450W or 550W. If you're looking for 'budget' units that are worth recommending check Corsair CX550 or CX550M.

I'd stay far away from Circle PSUs. They've been selling junk to Indian consumers for a long time. Low quality capacitors, playing fast and loose with the 80 Plus certifications, etc. Any improvements in quality can't be believed until there's an actual, proper teardown from someone who knows what they're talking about; they've lied too much in the past.
