Build Advice Building a PC for 3D Modeling and Gaming

Hey everyone! I'm new to the field, and am interested in building my first PC. I intend to use it for light gaming (including VR), some coding, and I'd also like to get into 3D modeling/rendering. After doing some research, I constructed this build:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/m6hzgb

Right now I'm mainly struggling with choosing a motherboard since there aren't that many reviews on AM5 mobos. I also haven't decided on a GPU, but I'd like to stick to EVGA and am considering one of the 3070s (possibly a used 3080).

Any critique would be appreciated!

It's a nice build, your right there arn't many reviews on the boards right now. However based on the previous generations, I would just assume an Asus Strix is a good board, I wouldn't have any concerns about buying blind. If it were me I'd gravitate towards the Strix stuff anyway simply because I prefer the look of it.

It just don't look like your getting as much as you could for the money.

Thank you for the feedback! And haha, yeah. I wasn't too sure about the Strix because of the price, but it seems like Asus makes good boards from what I hear.

Interesting! Could you tell me the benefits of going with Intel and an AM4 board at this point (as opposed to AM5). And would an air cooler for the 13700K work fine, or does it run too hot for that? I'm a bit hesitant to dabble in liquid cooling for my first build. I'm also looking into picking up a used EVGA 3080 XC3 for ~$600 -- would that work fine for this build you suggested?
