Hi guys, i'm looking forward to build my new pc since my 2gb ram , dual core 3.0 ghz and gtx 650 pc is getting old if you know what i mean... I was looking to build pc with current pc parts and would like if you help me choose what to do. I have to mention that i mostly play multiplayer games like League of Legends planing to go with CS GO and so , there are parts i was considered buying :

CPU: i5 4460 , i5 4590 (Is it worth considering to spend a bit more money for i5 4590 since i will not overlclock cause have no money for ocable motherboard)

GPU: gtx 970 , r9 390 (Is it worth giving a bit more money for r9 390?)

RAM : 8gb (maybe 16gb if i get a bit more money since ram is getting cheaper and cheaper)

PSU: 600w (i think 600 watts will be ok)

I would go with some cheap 50$ ish motherboard that's not overcockable , aswell for like 50$ case , as i don't watch about estetics that much.
Should i consider fx 8350 as an option for cpu?
Thanks guys , hope you will help me! :)

``CPU: i5 4460 , i5 4590 (Is it worth considering to spend a bit more money for i5 4590 since i will not overlclock cause have no money for ocable motherboard)``
ANYWAY NO NEED TO OVERCLOCK HERE

``GPU: gtx 970 , r9 390 (Is it worth giving a bit more money for r9 390?)``
NORMALY THE R9 390 IS CHEAPER THEN GTX 970

``RAM : 8gb (maybe 16gb if i get a bit more money since ram is getting cheaper and cheaper)``
THE MOST IMPORTANT IS TO BUY A DUAL CHANNEL KIT ..2X4 gb is plenty enough right now , but for online playing 16gb is better

``PSU: 600w (i think 600 watts will be ok)``
if r9 390..?? get a seasonic/xfx/antec hcg-truepower-edge / evga b2-g2-gs
650W and up

Here's a build I got for ya. All components are solid and high quality.

He said he is not overclocking + he doesn't need to. Why would he get FX-6300 just to overclock it while he can get an i5 which is more powerful.

Btw, that power supply is trash and I am very disappointed that you chose it.

First of all, compared to yours, the i5 is gonna get him like 3-5 fps AT MOST. My build also includes an aftermarker cooler so it will be more silent. It also includes an SSD which makes the computer overall SIGNIFICANTLY faster for both the operating system and any games he will store on it. And that PSU is not trash, Corsair CX series are trash. Any EVGA PSU is good, maybe the NEX series are not that good compared to lets say the Supernova series but they get the job done pretty good. Tested them many times in builds I did.

no. a i5 will kill a overclocked 6300 on just about everything. he can then save money on a stock cooler whitch will work just fine.

back to op
i would get a i5 4460
r9 390
8 gigs or ram
a good 600w will be fine

I've made countless builds for friends that were asking for my help and for people I don't know. They're all very satisfied. It's one of the best budget CPUs out there in my opinion. He can go for Intel if he wants but he'll miss out on the aftermarket more silent cooler and of course the SSD. If he had a little bit more money then a 4460 + an SSD would be the best choice.

What will bottleneck GTX 980? i5 or an FX? Which CPU will be faster in Arma? CS:GO? Rust? Which CPU will have a better upgrade path (to an i7 if he needs it)? The only upgrade path for FX-6300 is FX-8320 (FX-9590 is 8320 on crack) which is just 2 more weak cores that will not be used in gaming (except BF4).

Quoting an authority on tech here, "An FX 6300 is not a value when you factor in overclocking. By the time you spend that kind of money, you can get a locked i5, an H81 board and still enjoy better overall performance. Even at 4.5ghz, the FX 6300/6350 cannot beat my i5 3570k, at stock."

BTW, that NEX power supply IS trash. I have had worse experience with NEX than CX. I would rather have a CX in my system than a bronze NEX if I was given a choice. Both are Tier 4 units and are complete waste for the money they are selling them for.

He said he doesn't want to overclock. Even if he does, overclocking on that NEX PSU is not only not recommended but a big red WARNING - NO OVERCLOCKING ON BRONZE NEX.

+1

On paper, you are right. As for the PSU, I've made countless builds with it and no one had a problem, you're just unlucky. Also, if he gets a 970/390 he won't upgrade to a 980 so why ask which CPU bottlenecks it? By personal experience, as I keep saying, I used the FX 6300/M5A97 LE/R9 390 combo for countless budget builds and they're just perfect for 1080p gaming.

You are mistaking my statement here. I'm not saying that the FX6300 is a better choice than the 4460, hell the 4460 beats it by far, I just chose it to be able to include an SSD because it makes the system A LOT faster or any games stored on it. Some extra money left, so I included an aftermarket cooler too.

I don't get two things.
1) Why are you still defending the NEX while it is a far inferior unit to B2, GS, G2, or S12ii Seasonic units out there that sell for cheaper or the same price?
2) He never said he needs a lot of space. He can get a 250GB SSD for $60 instead of a 1TB HDD for $50.

" the system A LOT faster or any games stored on it."

SSD does not affect gaming performance, only loading times.

Even if it is, I don't get your butthurt towards it, it's a Tier 3 ranked PSU after all, according to Newegg's rankings.

"He never said he needs a lot of space". Ok. The guy is asking for help for a gaming rig. Please tell me how many games PLUS his OS he will be able to store on a 250gb SSD?

if he goes with a 6300 it will bottleneck a 970 or 390. it also dosn't make it alot faster. you have nice boot times but most of the programs will ave to be on a separate drive

i run a os and 4 steam games as well as some programs and i filed my 250gig ssd

Are you saying this just because the 6300 is old? I already told you I have tried this combo MYSELF and it's just perfect for 1080p gaming. And yes an SSD makes the system a lot faster, from boot times to loading programs to general system response to minimizing loading screens in games.

It's Tier 4. The gold NEX is Tier 3. Don't confuse yourself.

I feel offended calling me butthurt - I thought we had an intelligent conversation here,

250GB is quite enough for most people, although I do agree it may not be enough for all. Not all people got 10 blockbuster games on their PCs.

yes a 6300 will run fine but you dont want to have a gaming computer just run fine. here is a cheap option for op if he would like one that outperforms a 6300

xeon x5677- $60 used
dell t3500 mobo- $40 used

I used to help people in this forum A LOT in the past but I left for this exact thing. People keep fighting with other people all the damn time. Post your damn suggestion to the original poster, write why you chose each piece of hardware and let him decide. STOP looking at other peoples suggestions and fight with them with what's right and what's wrong. This is my first post after a LONG time but I guess it's the last one too, I'm outta here.

Thank you guys for all comments , i really apprettiate it. I want to mention that i dont want to overclock cause i dont want to give 100 dollars for motherboard and more money for i5 k version, since im on budget. Aswell i would have to buy aftermarket cooler , and i have no money to spend.

Ps. I live in Montenegro so if you find those items cheap that can ship her , send please. (Newegg doesnt ship i think doe.)
