Building a PC, need help with motherboard

Hi,

I'm building a PC from old/new parts, and already have/have chosen most of the components, however, I have no knowledge/understanding of motherboards...
So here is a list of the parts I already have/will be getting -
- ASUS STRIX GeForce GTX 960 Graphics Card
- HyperX FURY Series (2 x 8 GB) DDR3 1866 MHz
- Intel core i5-4440 CPU @ 3.10ghz (From old PC, so no website)
- And all other parts from an Alienware X51 R2 gaming PC

However, I have been told that the mother board from the alienware does not fit into any other case, is this true? If not then my main question is -
What motherboard will I need? preferably i'd like it to have red on it (It's the lights ill be going for) and it will need to fit into the NXZT Source 340 case.

I would suggest that you switch out that 2 gb 960 for a 4 gb 960. 2 gb of VRAM isn't enough for modern games and high texture qualities.

I would do that yes, but it is out of my budget, I only want to spend a max of £200 on the Graphics card, if you kind a better one for around that price it would be appreciated?
