Hello. My budget would be about 900$ (not including the mouse/headset/screen)

I have amazon prime.

I would like something that can play games such as Battlefield 4 on Ultra with at around 50FPS.

Also I might try to record in most games with fraps. I'd also like something that can run multiple processes at once without becoming skipping/freezy/slow.

All suggestions are greatly appreciated.

GPU is better than a GTX 970.

CPU you can overclock without changing voltages to 4.0Ghz (essentially a 8350)

id say best bang for buck out of any of these right now.

Also keep in mind that more and more game ports are gonna be better on the 8xxx series AMD cpus.. So while single core performance is better on the Intel i5's.. the extra cores on the 83xx series chips are gonna start to shine here really soon. Take BF4 as an example of this. Also the more cores will be better for the multithreaded part of your PC.. Anything that has to do with Streaming, Rendering, Record.. Stuff like that.. so the money saved from using AMD is put towards a better GPU, Better cooling, and a better case.

Edit: Even without promos its still cheaper than almost all these other list.. which go up to almost 1000$.. Sometimes over.. this one is 750$ without promos.

And if you were to order within this week.. (im assuming you are) You can use the promo code on the 290 and save yourself 61 dollars.. So no rebates or nothing affect the price its only promos that you can use by this week.

In that case. dump the 290 and get the 970. I read the 980 was better than the 290 but didnt see anything to do with the 970. Im just going off the top of my head atm. I didn't know that bit.

First of all, you were wrong about the GPU, Gtx 970 is better than r9 290 in most game and it has much less power consumption with easier to SLI it.

Also, you were also wrong about the CPU. I5 4690 will be better then 8350 in performance in almost every games. AMD has more core, but intel has much better 'core'.
Even you don't oc i5 4690(k), it's the best for OP.
That cpu cooler suck, CM 212 evo will be better and cheaper if you want to oc any cpu.
That case (300r) is more expensive then Cooler Master 912 haf, and I personally think the haf 912 is much better.

This is hilarious, Someone just said, that an air cooler that is on par with H80i's and H100's is worse than the 212.. I have lost faith in humanity. And please know that i DID say the i5 had better cores, but the 8320 is going to be on par with i5 in gaming here in the near future due to games utilizing all of its cores.. Again.. take BF4. As an example.. And next time don't say a air cooler that completely obliterates the 212 and is on par with h100's is worse than a budget air cooler.. Please.

I think that evo 212 is best for the bucks
I know Xigmatek Dark Knight II has a little bit better cooling and easier to install.

Also, for cpu (in my opinion)

i5 4690 will be better in most games out here right now.

Later on, you can upgrade the cpu to i7 or next gen cpu if you want high (ultra) settings on games.

I dont think it matters. My 8320 has been going strong on the same motherboard at 4.1Ghz for over a year just fine now.. I even got a 4.7Ghz OC stable on it and by stable, i mean play BF4 on it for a full round without artifacts or crashes.

Never accurate in real word? Its not a synthetic benchmark like cinebench or something. If you want to use that against me then Rockies benchmark doesnt mean anything either. lol and even if it is better it is by ONE... ONE FPS.

It seems like when a AMD chip is proven to be just as good or better at something than a Intel chip. The Intel fanboys always find an excuse.

I dont think it matters. My 8320 has been going strong on the same motherboard at 4.1Ghz for over a year just fine now.. I even got a 4.7Ghz OC stable on it and by stable, i mean play BF4 on it for a full round without artifacts or crashes.

990x and 990FX are about 10% faster than 970 chipset and add a lot of features like SLI/Crossfire just by the north bridge . Yes , Asus and ASRock motherboards suupport 150W processors but there are ones that dont .
