So I've recently been looking to build a pc as my current is on the verge of dying after using it since 2009. The main things I'm looking to do on the pc are game and record videos but the recording and editing will be done on my laptop which has those softwares (elgato and adobe premiere).

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/Zd9KVn This is what I've sourced together (note, the cpu cooler and the case came as bundle hence why i have them selected).

So my question is, will all these parts work together, what can i expect to reach game performance wise? What games at what fps and what can i change for the same price to get better results if possible. Thank you all for reading and thanks even more for help

Solution
The MSI motherboard has a known fault . Some have caught fire .
Use a dual channel kit of RAM . Its faster that way .

This is the same price . You can add a cooler later [ a better one ] . Or you can find someone who bought a better cooler for an 8 core AMD and use the original part they are not using .

This is a very similar build to the one above, but it makes use of a better PSU and GPU. You could leave the aftermarket cooler off if you don't have the money to purchase it straight away.

Yeah thanks, its gone a little over my budget of £400 but with sourcing for websites that have prices cheaper I'm sure i can make everything fit with the motherboard.

With the 270x and a better psu. What makes them better? Obviously for the psu it supplies more power but is there any more to it? Better reliability or something?

The build you give is similar to my build but i must say it has better GPU and PSU.

+1; This is a solid 400 quid build that will handle most games today on decent settings!
