I am building a gaming pc I have decided to go with a gtx 1060 3gb or 6gb an i5 8600k
8gb's of ddr 4 ram and 500gb of storage. What power supply and motherboard should I buy?

I hope that 500GB is an SSD. 1Tb HDD storage is cheap enough and even 2TB HDD that you wouldn't want to go with a 500GB HDD.

I would also encourage you to go with a GTX 1060 6GB or RX 580 8GB. Even if it means going with an i5-8400 instead of the 860K. It's a little late in the life of the 1060 3GB (over 2 year old now) to be considering it. The lower vram amount will hold it back to perform on par with an RX 570 4GB and sometimes even the 1050 Ti 4GB.

To suggest a motherboard and power supply, we will need to know your budget. You would want a Z-series motherboard if you got a K-series CPU.
