I am building a gaming pc and have decided most of my parts except for my motherboard. My parts so far are i5 8400, gtx 1070, 8gb of DDR 4 ram and 250- 500gb of SSD. For those parts what motherboard would you recommend?

For that processor you need a 300 series motherboard. But since you can't overclock that processor I would suggest a an H370 motherboard.
