Building a photo-editing rig ~ $2000 (Q1 2014)

Any suggestions for building a heavy duty photo editing rig (i.e., lots of multitasking with large files in Photoshop, Lightroom, Photomechanic, Bridge) for around $2000? I'll be running some proprietary software that extracts images and renders them on backgrounds. I do very little video editing and 3D work.

I'm an experienced system builder, but I would be fine buying something off the shelf and then upgrading.

I am running dual monitors, one being a Eizo FlexScan SX2262W at 1920x1200.

The extra case fan is a waste of money, as is Corsair Dominator Platinum - it's ridiculously expensive for nothing more than a fancy heat sink. For an X79 rig you need 4 x 4GB, not 2 x 8GB.

Whats up g unit. Ok first of all you dont need 32gb. He said himself that he is doing very little 3d work and video editing. So 16gb is good for that. I know your gonna say something about the psu, but then the psu is a nice fully modular and 80+ gold efficiency. The reason for the 850w is beause the 750w version was around the same price, so yeah. Your psu isnt MODULAR which makes cable managment really difficult. Also its only 80+ bronze. I have a bigger solid state drive and a bigger hdd. Also your budget is more expensive then mine even if you add an os to my build.
