Looking at to upgrade/ build a new PC.

Currently got a PC that bought for like £400 and spent another 250 in upgrading CPU and cooler from a ryzen 3 2000 series and cheap air cooler to a Ryzen 5 3600 and a corsair 240mm AIO Cooler

Current PC specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X with Corsair 280mm iCue AIO Cooler
Motherboard: ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING (AM4)
Memory: 2X8GB DDR4 3200mhz (Patriot or Viper... cant recall)
GPU: Palit GTX 670
Storage: Samsung SSD 860 QVO 1TB (SATA (SSD))
PSU: EVGA 500W but is just 80 plus (not sure on model)
Case: Cougar Panzer (Mid Tower) - not sure on exact model but not RGB version
Extras: 2x120cm RGB Fans got off amazon

was okay to edit and render videos but now wanna game more and the gtx670 barely handles anything with intense load without crashing. Tried OC to the max it would manage stable but only so much can do.

So long story short. Got some money coming in and small chunk is gonna go into the PC as wanna really get more indepth with PC gaming with racing games as well as my love of farmming simulator. So wanna get a nice "top end" PC that will last for the some time. Yes, I would like to get the RTX 4000 or 5000 series (whatever they are gonna call it) but chances of actual getting stock at normal price is optimistic.

So made a list with help of PC Part Picker. I am a regular follower of likes of Gamers Nexus and Jayz2cents. Overall budget is over 3K because included 2 monitors, PC Picker was finding it at £290 each but found some on eBay NEW with a reputable seller for a cheaper price.

Specs is

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 3.4 GHz 16-Core Processor £504.98 @ Scan.co.uk

Keyboard: Asus ROG Strix Flare (Cherry MX Red) RGB Wired Gaming Keyboard | £141.17 @ Amazon UK

Mouse : Asus P704 ROG CHAKRAM Wireless Optical Mouse | £129.90 @ Amazon UK

TOTAL: £3649.99 or around 2,900 exlcuding mouse, keyboard and monitors

So, thinking got a good set up here. Went with a Full tower, mainly because got room and like the look of it (no plans for water cooler with hard of soft tubing) Hence why going for an addition 7 fans (10 in total) for a 1 rear, 3 top, 3 bottom, 3 side for good airflow. Plan to do some overclocking as well with both GPU and CPU, From what I can gather, even in with normal OC and pushing things to the max with stability estimate power usage can get into the 800W range but that with having everything turned up. So wanna give myself that extra 20% head room to not strain the power supply.

Also went for RGB, mainly corsair besides the ram, so can change the colours a bit and dont mind the look of it.

Initial budget was around the more £2500 range, pushing 2750 for the PC itself with no monitors or periphials. Already got a mic and stream deck and a elgato wave 3 mic with a arm. but dont mind spending that little extra, espeically with GPU prices coming down gradually (here in the UK at least) from 1,200 for even the lower end 3080 to like 900 for the cheapest I can find Palit 3080 for 890.

Just wanna have fun with the PC, especially with building it instead of getting cheap PC from Facebook Marketplace last year. But not too sure where I be overspending currently (BESIDES THE GPU) even with the monitor and periphials. wanted a good 1440p monitor and liking the curved monitors but not sure if 2 curved montitors is good or what. Know can get away with gaming a mid tower case and save couple quid. In terms of USB Usage, just gonna be the usual streaming stuff and that and to very soon get a big external SSD if I need to move about and wanna still have the footage to use where I can'tuse my own PC like going away or whatever.

May gona OC with the ram but just want to have no worries with utalising my PC with streams or content work and to not get bogged down as I am currently with my PC (RAM wise).

CURRENT SOFTWARE USAGE:
For my content work I uses Adobe Premier Pro for my video editing and renders and Adobe Photoshop for my thumbnails.

Sorry to be long winded but wanna just explain what my needs are

Another option would be to go with an Intel i7 12 gen in order to save £200 while going with 3600mhz CL16. Take the savings and move up to a 3080 Ti.

Everything looks fine. 64 gb of ram might be overkill. Im a content creator myself and I can edit in premier, run discord, spotify, and any game without running out of ram on 32gb. For the CPU you could hop down to a 5900x cause 12 cores is still really good. Also don't get a low end model GPU like palit. The thermals will probably be bad.

Yeah that was my thinking. especially with GPU. That why go with something like ASUS, EVGA or even likes of MSI or Gigabyte as thermals in benchmarks done seem to do well.

Thanks with the advice on the ram. Will have a look at the CPU as well

A couple of options below but more on the Intel 12th gen side and yes I am running a 12700K which has been immense and overclocks if required with ease.... (rated highly by Gamers Nexus et all) and for mixed workloads like gaming/production especially racing sim ala ACC, AMS2, R3R which I run it is great, more importantly if you use it for rendering and editing again the 12th gen CPU's are immense and get you on PCIe Gen 5 and DDR5 and it will have an upgrade path to Raptor Lake though a PC like this will see you through the next 5 years plus so proabably a couple of generations on both AMD and Intel by then...More importantly includes a RTX 3080TI.....Haven't included the keyboard or mouse but cost is still comparable with your original system.....Ultimately just more choices..

Also the same KFA RTX 3080Ti is cheaper at Overclockers right now at £1099.99 so £70 less than the PC Partpicker one included! I am sure even if you go AMD you can trim the costs down as you go on better deals..

Option 1 though I have included 64GB DDR5 you can easily get away with 32GB with no issues!

Option 2 Personally if you can go Ultrawide even better especially for gaming as I have a 34 inch ultrawide at 144Hz and again it has made a huge difference and a RTX 3080 or 3080TI can drive these very well.
