OK so i am try to build something for trading, the platform for trading i use is basic but i do run 2 platforms though . i do need to be able run 2 or 3 screens and be able to have multiple tabs open while i am searching information, this build will serve as an everyday use computer, video edit , serf the web maybe a game or 2 with my son. so i figured id need something like a gaming setup to handle all the info coming in.
i have a gigabyte GA z97x gaming 7 motherboard with a i5- 4690k processor, im looking for ram now .(i didn't realize all the different Module P/N out there) do they really matter? i assume yes . what mhz do you think? 1600,2400,2800?(i do have a optiplex 3020 that can handle part of the load to save money on this build if i have too). GPU suggestions? also what windows 10 would run best with this board, i have an external hard drive but it is fire-wire/esata no sata3 will that help to keep my computer clutter free or should i get an external ssd,? pci express or and e pci-e recommendations? no need for monitors i already have them . any other suggestion??? power supply?

Ok...

What you have:
  • i5-4690K
  • Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 7 (which does support M.2 NVMe SSDs)
  • Optiplex 3020 of unknown specs
  • 2 - 3 monitors, unknown brand/model, probably 1080p 60Hz, unknown input ports (HDMI, DP, DVI, VGA)
What you need:
  • DDR3 (1600-1866MHz is fine, 2x8GB preferable) something like this or hit up your local e-waste recycling center
  • PSU (roughly 550W)
  • Case (ATX)
  • SSD (probably around 500GB)
  • GPU
  • Windows 10
What country are you shopping in?
What's your budget for all this?
