Building a VR/Gaming PC for my Son

My 13 year old son wants to build a gaming computer that he will also use for VR with VIVE.

I would like to round up the hardware for Christmas/birthday presents. His favorite colors are black and orange so I thought it would be fun to make this an orange and black build.

I would love some feed back on my parts list. I have done some research but and new to this.

Assume you don't have that Z270 MB already. 8th gen coffee lake I7 is out, don't buy 7th gen HDD is no good. cooler is a little bit overkill. ram can be cheaper. psu is too old model. My edits:
