Building a workstation/gaming pc

I've managed to get myself a job as a club photographer at uni but I don't have a pc so I'm going to build one for photo editing. I'd also like to be able to game on it too, not necessarily play AAA titles at full resolution but be able to run stuff pretty well. My budget is around £700 but I'd like to get that down if the build I have is at all superfluous. I'm new to the bpc building game so all advice will be gladly taken
