The build list seems reasonable. You need a CPU cooler. I think that the Ryzen 3 1200 will be a bit week. The second generation replacement for that CPU is the Ryzen 3 2200G. It is a faster quad core at the same price or even a little less cost. But the one that I would suggest is the Ryzen 5 2400G. It is just a bit more than the Ryzen 3 1200, but is faster.

Here is a US listing of AMD RYZEN 5 2400G Quad-Core 3.6 GHz (3.9 GHz Turbo) Socket AM4 65W YD2400C5FBBOX Desktop Processor . You will need to search for it locally.

Also here is a webpage of the Ryzen 3 and 5 series CPUs.

With respect, I really don't think the 2400G is a good choice at all unless you're going to make use of the (very good) integrated graphics. Given that you've already chosen a 1050ti, the 2400G would be largely wasted. If you've got the budget for a 2400G, it's only 10% more to get the 6 core 12 thread Ryzen 5 2600. That's far better.

At a budget though, the Ryzen 3 2200G does make sense because (in the US at least), it's the same price as the 1200 you've chosen and slightly faster.

Your build look fine OP. You'll be able to play any modern games with medium-ish detail settings at 1080P. The 2200G is very much an entry level CPU, but the B350 board lets you upgrade to a future Ryzen CPU down the track.

In response to your PM.

Then look at consider the AMD RYZEN 3 2200G Quad-Core 3.5 GHz (3.7 GHz Turbo). It is the replacement for the RYZEN 3 1200 in the Ryzen second generation processors. It is faster than the R3-1200 for about the same price.

The rest of the build was fine. I would suggest at least a Cooler Master 212 Evo CPU cooler if you are considering overclocking. The stock cooler is OK for non-overclock processing, but it will be loud.

Of course, you will need the peripherals (mouse, keyboard & monitor). And you will need a storage device either an SSD or hard drive and the operating system.

I was trying to keep the cost as close to the R3 1200 as possible.

I agree the 2200G makes sense, because it's basically a R3 1200 with better integrated graphics at the same price (in the US, at least). There's really no reason not to get that one. It's the 2400G for 50-60% more that makes little sense IMHO.

No you can't the R5-1600 is about $50 more than the R5-2400G. The second generation CPUs are similar to the same first generation processor that they replace. R3 1200 ~ R3 2200, R5 1400 ~ R5 2400. It isn't exact but usually close, and the second generation one is usually a bit cheaper.

R5-2400G = $154.99

R5-1600 = $200.30

I'm not changing a damn thing.
