Hello guys. I am not new to building PCs but I am very unfamiliar with AMD. Last AMD processor I bought was an AMD Sempron at 1.67GHz back in 2004. I am looking at building my girlfriend a gaming PC for christmas. I just built myself a skylake gaming pc and I am very happy with it. Plays everything I want at 1440p. My girlfriend really wants to play overwatch at 1080p. The reason I am looking at AMD is because the CPUs and GPUs are more oriented towards my budget then Intel components and I really don't think she will play game that much, let alone use the computer much since she already has a laptop to justify spending too much on it. I really don't know how these processors compare to Intel processors and Nvidia GPUs. In my amazon cart I have the following items, let me know if these are good in the AMD community. Trying to keep this build at $500 after tax. These components come to $512 after tax. Let me know guys, appreciate your responses in advance!

FX-6300 6-core black edition
Asus uATX DDR3 AM3+ AMD 760G + SB710 USB 3.0 HDMI uATX AMD Motherboard
8GB DDR3
MSI RX 470 4GB
Cheap uATX case
500W EVGA PSU
1TB HDD

I would not even consider building a new build with an AMD FX cpu. The FX6300 is almost 5 years old, and does not compete with the i3 6100. The RX470 is good as long as it's as close to $150 as possible. The EVGA 500w psu is not very good.

Are you in the US? Do all the parts HAVE to be from amazon?

This would be much better. It's $501 before rebates

I prefer amazon as I am a prime member. I buy EVERYTHING from them lol. I love getting every thing the same day I order it. Im in FL. Maybe ill just go with the original 6600 GTX 1050ti build with the H110 chipset I was originally planning. Just trying to penny pinch since I really dont think she will use it all that much, and overwatch is fairly optimized. Even my old build runs it ok and it's 8 years old.

This is less than $500 with free shipping

amazon is not a very good place to buy all the parts from as far as price goes. You could get better stuff with the same amount of money buying it all from newegg. I understand the convenience of doing so though.
