Hey, hope this is the right place for this, basically I want to build a PC that I will use for pretty much everything including gaming. I am fine with not playing the latest things on the highest quality, but am interested in having something that can do not so intensive games on best quality and last (i.e. future games at least playable if at medium settings).
Here are the components I so far came up with after doing some research:
CPU: i5 4670K - I will want to OC, not push it to the max but definitely try it and since I'm building new might as well go Haswell rather than 3570K
CPU fan: CM Hyper 212 Evo - many recommend this and given I don't want to push the system to the max I think this is best value for money.
Mobo: ASRock Z87 Extreme4. It is actually relative cheap for me to get compared to the other Z87 brands and it seems to be one of the best ones in this price category (I have also looked at the MSI G45 and the ASUS Z87 Pro, which is 30 euros more for example but doesn't seem noticeably better). Any thoughts on this?
RAM: Now this seems to be a tough one, so many different kinds from the same brand even. I learned that officially Intel say 1.5V or maybe 1.575V is what is supported. I also read that OC'ing RAM is not as performance improving as CPU, so I'd rather go safe and get a 1.5V module rather than cheaper 1.65V (or same price but better).
Corsair Vengeance Schwarz 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) CL8
GPU: Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX 670 OC 4GB, it is in my price range was recommended over the 760 and the Gigabyte version is actually cheaper for 4GB than the other brands' 2GB version of this 670 OC. Plus it is supposedly small enough to allow for SLI perhaps later (I am getting ATX not m-ATX) Good choice? Should I consider Radeon at all, read some discussion comparing the 670 to 7970 but the latter is at least 70 Euros more expensive for me and that is quite a chunk.
PSU: Corsair CX750W 80 Plus Bronze - not that much more expensive than 650, and allows too for possible SLI later on.
Case: Choice of (with the Antec actually being 10 Euros cheaper).
1. Thermaltake Overseer RX-I Big-Tower
2. Antec 900
ps Already have a working DVD drive and SSD HDD that I can just plug in (the SSD is actually brand new Plextor 256GB, got it from my brother from Asia).
Thanks for any thought and comments!
