Actually this will be my first PC build in general, but I really have no idea where to start. My budget is $500 or less and I plan to use my current 16:9 1080p monitor which is a Dell ST2310. It's main use besides web browsing will be for emulation especially the PS2, PSP and Gamecube. I’d really like to run those emulators at full speed. The only current PC game I’m looking to play is Mortal Kombat X and Injustice 2 if that’s getting a PC release and I’d like to run those games at high/max settings (not 4K) if at all possible. I’d like to start with a SSD and add a regular 1 TB hard drive shortly down the road.
I plan to use a PS4 controller on this build so bluetooth is a must. I have no idea what the differences are between Intel and AMD, but from what I’ve read it seems Intel is usually the better bet albeit always pricier. Do motherboards come with a built in wifi adapter or will I have to add one? I’d also like to be able to upgrade this build in the future. As you can probably tell, I’m really lost here so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
