Solution
Here is a few changes. Better CPU for editing, cooler than doens't block your RAM heatspreader, and PSU that isn't overkill for the 1050ti that requires a 300w.

Z170 chipset motherboards are for CPU's that overclock, you don't need that. What you actually need is CPU like i7 that has hyperthreading but it's probably outside of your budget, the i5 6500 is good too thou. You should also get an SSD to load windows on to speed up the system, it makes a big impact. Also for video editing the GPU isn't that important, GTX 1050 non ti is more than enough. Here is the i5 build, if you can spend 150-200$ more then go with i7 6700.

That's a badly balanced build for video editing, if he want's to spend that kind of money he should get i7 6700 with hyperthreading. Also the power supply you choose is very bad, and too much money wasted on CPU for overclocking which he will probably not do, and even if he overclock it still is much worse in video editing than an i7.

Here is an i7 build with better motherboard.

LOL when did tier 2 PSU's become very bad? Now the Superflower green is also a tier 2 so please try again. Most of the build was due to parts the OP selected.

Sorry but the Antec earthwatt 380 is highest rated PSU on newegg. Now going from bronze to gold is only about 2%. I find it more important that work. The two 380's I have has worked for over 10 years without problem.
