That board you have in your link is meant for a single card set up. It runs dual cards @ x4. You want a board that runs dual cards @ x8 like this board down below.

dont get a gigabyte board they run the old BIOS. there are Asrock boards out with UEFI and 8x/8x lanes, the Asrock z68 extreme 3 gen3, thats what I would get as a budget crossfire board. It will also support intels Ivy bridge CPU's and pcie 3, which is another bonus over the gigabyte. If this is a gaming PC i would trade the SSD for a beefier graphics card. The 650w PSU you picked is very good and will run 2 x 6870's and even 2 x 6950's. Start off with a good vid card like the 6970 and dont bother with the ssd, if you really get frustrated with load times then get an SSD later on.

That Antec 650w psu you have up there will easily push two of those cards.

Also what's your budget, do you need Windows 7, and do you plan on doing all your shopping at scan, or can other sites like Novetech and ebuyer uk be used?

Cases are more personal preference so very hard to say. I didn't go with HAF because it's just butt-ugly in my eyes...

I've heard Lian-Li cases are very good and made of light-weight aluminum. Then there's their lower end Lancool series that are steel, heavier and a bit cheaper. I heard the Lancool Dragon Lord series are good, and was something I was considering too at the time I was fishing for a case.

I ended up with a Raven 2 Evolution case and I built my brother's comp with a Corsair 600t (both of them are the white editions). But in all honesty, I like the 600t because it's cable management is a bit better, smaller and lighter. But I like the look of the Raven more over the 600t. So, it's more personal preference.

As for an aftermarket cooler, you can get one now and don't need to worry about it later on if you decide to OC in the future. It'll also help keep your cpu cool too, which is not at all a bad thing. You can go with a CM 212+ (the most popular budget oriented cooler that does perform well).
