I am building my first gaming PC and I want to know if i should include a SSD, or if I can just add one later. Any help/opinions are appreciated. here is my build, my budget is under 800, but i just sold a ton of games at gamestop so i am a little flexible. Thank You!

Solution

1. The difference between the $57 Kingston and the $99 Crucial is ~$40. Within your budget.

2. You can install and run Windows 10, unactivated, until you go buy a license key.
It is not "free", and it has a few restrictions. But it will work.

is it hard to transfer the OS, a friend told me it is a pain. i could probably squeeze this SSD into my budget if it is a good one (i just got $160 dollars of flexibility but i also still need to get windows 10)

ok, thank you!

It can be hard, after you've used the system for a while, and your C drive contents is larger than the new SSD.

For instance...if you eventually get a 250GB SSD, you need the total consumed space on the original drive to be below 200GB for a successful clone operation.
Otherwise, you're doing a whole new OS (and everything else) reinstall.

With your current single drive of a 1TB, I give that no more than 3 weeks before you are over that cloneable space...
OS, applications, a couple of large Steam games.....oops...too much.

actually i have like 60 dollars of free space because i also have to get windows 10. (sorry should have mentioned this earlier)
