Building a new pc and going to OC for the first time. I've built 4 pcs and changed out every part on other ones. Never messed with bios settings / oc.

When are you purchasing the parts ? Now - few weeks

What is your budget ? around ~$1000 - $1250

What are your needs ? Gaming, near max, capable of SLI in future

Your expectations from the PC : I click, it opens, and near max on games

Your location : USA

Your preferred sellers/websites : Newegg, Tigerdirect, amazon, outlet, etc

Your part choices : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1lVh1

Are you upgrading or taking parts from any older PC/laptop ? No

Why are you upgrading ? Need new

Do you plan to upgrade this PC ? SLI when need be and whatnot

Do you need a OS or any other software ? buying win 8

Do you need any Monitor ? no

Do you need any peripheral ? no, but mech. keyboard eventually

Any other notes : Haswell w/ K for OC. Other parts not really sure if i could save some here and add to there.
Ram from research G. Skill seems best.
GPU GeForcearound 770 though not sure on best manuf.
Mobo ? SLI capable, 3.0 USB - not sure on best option
HD I have SSD
PSU - I needed 613 watts when i SLI-ed it. So figure 650 min. Seasonic I read is great, not sure on which but other options will listen too!
Case - no idea if i can buy a $50 or should go more? And do I need a bunch of fans or get away w/ cooler and the stock fans in case. Mid Tower prefer. Cases seems such a range I don't really know.

OC I have some links on guides but feel free to add em here and any basic settings I should change in bios / win 8 once built / links to guides so i can watch / read up on.

Thanks!

638W is what is the bare minimum for the 770 SLI setup, however 650W is cutting it a bit fine, a nice 750W CX750M (semi-modular version) would give you loads of headroom:

PSU- Okay, I thought it was just over 600 but I wasn't sure how much more watt I should go up. Thanks!
Anything I need to know about liquid cooler?

I also should note, for future gaming would it be wise to get hdmi on GPU?

The card i posted has a HDMI port :) also i said that the large PSU is for if you ever want to add a second GTX770 and SLI the cards to give better performance.

Its simply to provide you with a good upgrade path in the future.

Yeah, I understand the PSU. I was thinking when I SLI them originally I was at 613 or so. But always go higher than close to minimum. =)

Thanks.

Anyone have any info from OP?

You are the OP right? xD

also yeah, cutting it that close leaves no room for a little GPU overclocking, its just generally cutting things very close, also PSU efficiency tends to drop off at very high loads.
