Ok I put this build together. This is around what I want to spend. I don't want to do any SLI, and I do not know anything about CPU Cooling.

Any suggestions that will give me better performance/equal performance for equal or less $$$.

I plan to only use this for Gaming! (I want to stick with the 16gb of Ram though)

I plan to build this immediately (assuming I can get the Gcard in a timely manner).

ALL Suggestions are much appreciated!

Must you have this case? Some air coolers don't work in there according to PCPP.

Ah I see. No I do not need the case. I just don't know what Mobo to get, as I know thats a great mobo, but I prolly won't do any OC'ing, as I don't know anything about Liquid Cooling.

As well I want everything coming from Amazon with Prime.

You can OC with air cooling. If you are going to be heavy into gamming I recommend a Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO aftermarket cooler. Since you will be stressing the cpu.

Non Overclocking version

Here is my contribution...this will run any game you want but if you are dead set on the gtx 980 add $230 or you could keep the gtx 970 and overclock it. This is the best performance for the money for highend gaming!

Again remember when you are pricing stuff, I am only getting things from Amazon that have prime option.

I didn't know the 212 wasn't liquid, so I will look into that as well.

Also I don't see anything on PCPP about the Evo for cooling.

What do you mean about the RAM? What's wrong with the ram I have on the new list, it has great latency as well.

Also is the new power supply on there good? And shall I stick with that Mobo because I will be OCing or change it?

You need low profile RAM that doesn't have crazy tall heatsinks. Otherwise coolers will not always fit properly.

If you really are going for HEAVY overclocks, the board is fine. If you are only going to use a $20-$40 cooler and just do a simple one and done overclock, the board is a HUGE waste.

I made a few changes. Added a cheaper, faster, better, lower latency ram (This is what I have in mine and its great). Changed the power supply (also have the supernova in mine pc and its a wonderful psu). Added a hyper 212 evo cpu cooler (awesome cooler for overclocking on air). Changed the case to a less expense but great case for cooling. I kept the core of what you wanted with the motherboard/cpu/ssd/hdd.

I know you said you only wanted to buy from Amazon because of your amazon prime but you can get free shipping on almost every item from newegg too. I was in the same boat as you 3 weeks ago when I bought everythig for my highend gaming build. I ended up getting about half of my stuff through my amazon prime and the other half I got from newegg and it had free shipping. Here is the changes I made below...

The Reason I chose the case I did, was because it has 2.5ssd bay already, I already have the 212 on my list, just can't see it on pcpp cause I don't want to buy from anywhere else other than Amazon, because I want my prime 2 day shipping, and because its free, I just want the 2 day shipping part. Newegg I'd have to wait at least a week (Whether its free or not).

I dislike G.Skill memory alot, and also that is not a lower latency then my current selection, that has CL9 Timing, if you actually go to the link its through. Mine is CL7.

I think both power supplies are good, as I don't need anything over 600W really, simply because I am not pushing heavy wattage with the 980.

The case is nice, but still not sure of it. thank you for the input though.

and I have had issues with G.Skill in the passed so I no longer purchase their products.

Thanks for the input though
