Hello Tom's Hardware people, I'm in need of your assistance. I just decided to build my first computer for gaming purposes, and I think I have a idea of what I want.
Here are the specs:
Intel Core i5-4670 3.4GHz LGA 1150 $219.99
GeForce GTX 660 2GB 192-bit GDDR5 $229.99
LGA 1150 Intel H87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard $99.99
2TB Internal Hard Drive Retail Kit $114.99
DDR3 8GB 1600MHz DUAL BL $92.99
Antec High Current Gamer HCG-750 750w Power Supply $97.99
Total: $855.94

I'm using this PC for mainly gaming, video editing, and also some college work.

I would like to get the highest performance I can get for my dollar, while staying under $900

Basically, am I making any huge mistakes with these parts?

What advise do you have for me in building my first PC?

Are there other parts that would work better for the price tag on them? (Keep in mind I am only buying on Fry's because there is one close to my home. I also don't want to pay shipping cause of the wait time.)

If there is any advice that you could give me that would be great.
If you need any more information I will do my best to supply you with it.

Thanks a bunch!
~ Josh

A GTX 760 is a very nice step up from the GTX 660. I would try your hardest to squeeze the GTX 760 in. You can save a bit of money on the PSU by going with a quality 550W PSU. The 750W PSU is way more than the system needs.

Thanks for the reply!
Ok so options that I searched up for PSU:
650 Watt PSU http://www.frys.com/product/7723578?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG $69
650 Watt PSU http://www.frys.com/product/7856659?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG $119
550 Watt PSU http://www.frys.com/product/7947110?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG $59
550 Watt PSU http://www.frys.com/product/7970500?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG $59

Graphics card:
GTX 760 http://www.frys.com/product/7830749 $319
GTX 760 http://www.frys.com/product/7961780 $269

Which one of these would you recommend?
Would I need a 650 Watt for getting a GTX 760?
If I were to upgrade to the 760 I would need to wait a extra month before I build it, due to money stuff. I'm pretty eager to build it now but if you do really recommend me to get it I most likely will.
Will it be worth the wait?

I'm not real crazy about any of those options other than the Corsair RM650, but the price is pretty high on that one. The Corsair TX650 is considerably cheaper at $89.99.

You don't need the more expensive 4GB GTX 760. The cheaper one will work just fine, but it's 11.6" long. What case are you using? You will need to make sure the GPU will fit. The PNY VCGGTX7602XPB-OC GeForce GTX 760 2GB is only 9.5" long and costs $359.99 - $20 MIR.

The case I was looking at is: http://www.frys.com/product/6695994
Although I have not purchased anything for this build yet so anything can change really.
Thanks for the suggestion on the PSU, but it isn't store pickup available so I don't think I will be going with that.
Got any other suggestions? Possibly this?
This is exactly the reason I came here for help, you seem like you know what you are doing.

That case looks like it will work fine. Since the budget is already tight I would get the PNY GTX 760 card. It will be a good upgrade over the GTX 660.

Edit: I didn't see your question about the PSU. Yes, the TX650M will work great for the system.

I tried to update my post as fast as I could, so you could see it. But would this PSU work? The other one isn't available for store pickup.
Edit: (Haha, I didn't see your post updated)

Alright I came across a couple more questions.
I couldn't get the case I chose because it isn't available at my store. (Probobly should have checked that beforehand) But would this one work, I tried my best to look at it and I think it will, but maybe I'm wrong.
Also had to change the card to this cause of availability.

I came to the realization that I'm going to have to wait another month if I want to get what I am looking for anyway, so I am going to bump up the price limit a little.
