I plan to eventually build a new computer when this one I'm using is just too slow to use anymore or breaks beyond repair.
It's going to be used for gaming, but not very heavy gaming (I only play light games and when I do, i put them on minimum graphics with an FPS cap of 24 fps if possible to avoid heating) . I want it to last for atleast 10 years and cost under $1000, since this computer's already lasted me a year and only costed around $300. What:

PSU should i get
Case should i get
CPU should i get
Mobo should i get
RAM should i get
GPU should i get

If you answer, you don't have to answer all :)

$150, maybe for the GTX 970 alone, on a good day.

If you want to play light games, and spend nearly $1000, I suggest looking into a mid-range gaming laptop. That will be much easier to obtain at the moment.

I'll see what can be put together with new parts and a used GPU in mind in a few minutes.

Alternative that doesn't require purchasing a GPU right away:

Intel HD750 is roughly as fast as an Nvidia GT740

You can try your luck on ebay for something like a GTX1060, GTX980, or whatever you can get ahold of that is reasonable.
