Building my first gaming pc, any tips for a first timer?

Ive recently ordered my parts and have been constantly looking at videos on how to build one, considering its my first time I don't want to mess it up... Is there a certain way I should build my parts in? Thanks Tom's Hardware crew!

You really should ask BEFORE you buy parts.
Problems start with a poor choice of parts.
What did you order??

I always seat the CPU in the mobo first, then put the RAM in. Then I put it into the case with the PSU. Also, make sure you pay a LOT of attention to cable management. Also, it's good practice to put everything together outside of the case to make sure you don't have any DOA components.
