Building my first gaming PC

Hi nice build, probably would go for a more efficient power supply like one of the CS M series power supply by corsair.

Windows 8 for me I will never understand, not to sure about what you prefer but Windows 7 is much easier to search through.

Your wifi I don't know how far or close you are to your router, but for the system will be running the wifi is a bottleneck. Ethernet is much faster than wifi and I would definitely advise a Ethernet cable over wifi any day.

Other than that nice build, hope this goes well for you!

That is a nice build and it's hard to criticize it.I can only say i would do it a little different,

Same price,but a better gpu=the r9 290 with a custom cooler.
A bigger ssd.
A bigger psu for crossfire options,850watts because of that it is the r9 290 and it uses a lot.The 750watt should probably handle it as well and is $10 cheaper,

i also put in a,imo, nice ips monitor.
There are more things i changed, but these are the real performance parts.Just compare it to your own for the other changes.

On the list you created there is a compatibility issue with the case and the power supply, it says it can't verify the height clearance, do you know if it will fit?

I didn't notice the compatibility issue but it's not about the power supply,it's about the cpu cooler which is ~ 162mm high and will fit in this case.Because of that the cooler is just over 160mm's it might not fit all cases, beware of that.
This case is something i like, but choose one that you like and fits your budget.
