So, I'm currently in the process of choosing all the parts for my first pc build and I have a few questions.

These are the parts:
CPU - Intel - Core i5-8400 2.8 GHz 6-Core Processor
CPU Cooler - be quiet! - Dark Rock 4 CPU Cooler
HDD - Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Motherboard - MSI - Z370-A PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
GPU - Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB G1 Gaming Video Card
RAM - Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
Power Supply - Corsair - CXM 550 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Case - NZXT - H500 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case

1) Will these parts be able to run first-person shooters at a good level?

2) Are they all compatible?

3) should I bother buying an SSD as well as the HDD?

4) Are the parts even any good?

Solution
1. yes at a lower resolution. for 1080p an rx 580 or a 1060 would be the card to look for
2. yes.
3. yes. SSDs will have an immediate and noticeable improvement to every system without one. 240GB class or larger
4. looks good to me. the RAM could be faster - 2666 or better with XMP.
